Persephone

I Am a smile of light,

a boat, a sail, riding the oceanic dark,

vision's rainbow, bridging night.

I Am the Moon; I call the dawn.

(My crescent horns,

My clarion song!)

I Am Kore, Star Maiden,

fallen, hidden,

morning-star sleeping,

all potential's Origin.

I measure Demeter’s soul of loss.

In dark and dirt, I earth My light,

cross-fertilizing

with Hekate, My dark Mother,

descending to the secret inferno,

separation's crucible,

infinite sun within.

I bring to Helle’s witchy death,

Iduna’s Apple-land of souls

immortal seed of spring,

hope blossoming.

My cyclic loss

brings deepest reuniting.

I descend voluntarily

to the Core

of the really big apple, earth.

My sleeping beauty,

apple-lipped, a kiss,

promises Rebirth.
